Ratlam-based DPJewellers recently launched ‘Golden locker’ scheme wherein one can exchange old jewellery with 916 hallmarked jewellery after 10 months of purchase, with no extra making charges.

RATLAM: As part of its initiative to give loyalty reward to its customers, Ratlam-based DPJewellers recently launched ‘Golden locker’ scheme wherein one can exchange old jewellery with 916 hallmarked jewellery after10 months of purchase, with no extra making charges.

Speaking about the offer, Amit Bandi, CEO, DP Abhushan Limited, said, “People often keep their old jewellery either at home or in bank lockers. They also incur extra cost to maintain them and often don’t get the full return while exchanging the same. Keeping old jewellery is risky too. So, DP Jewellers’s Golden Locker allows our customers to deposit old jewellery with us and take back new jewellery of same weight and purity level from 50,000 latest collections of DP Jewellers in return.”

According to Amit, customers don’t risk getting cheated by exchanging old jewellery with unscrupulous jewellers but the golden locker facility will allay those fears. Besides, the youth will also get new and trendy designs from this scheme. The purity and weight of old jewellery brought by customers are tested in front of them. After matching its purity level with 916 hallmarked purity for no added cost, customers can take home new jewellery of same value.

“The customer is getting the benefit of exchanging their old jewellery, lying idle in bank lockers, without shelling an extra penny. Secondly, they can come anytime with old jewellery and take part in the scheme,” he added. Besides, if one needs new jewellery for an occasion, this scheme works really well for them.

Tremendous response

Customer registration for the scheme has increased by 60% since January 2019 when it was launched for the first time in Central India. Women from 35-45 years age are mostly utilising the scheme.
